It's essential to work out in the morning, even for a little while. Still...what's so special about mornings?

1. Morning is the only time you actually can manipulate the schedule to exercise. People who usually exercise usually do it in the morning, because it's still chilly and because they don't have other responsibilities.

2. If fitness exercises are done in the morning they stimulate the metabolism and this means in the next 24 hours our body will register a faster fat burning process even if you have a sedentary office job.

3. You will be full of life and energy the whole day. The explanation lies in the fact that sports stimulate the endorphin and serotonin secretion, which are the so called happiness hormones.

4. Throughout the day, you won't feel exhausted and you won't get hungry so often or so much. In addition, the chances of feeling like eating a salad for lunch instead of a sandwich full of calories are tremendously increased.

5. If you exercise each morning at the same hour (and if you wake up at the same hour) the endocrine and circulatory systems will soon adapt to this rhythm, creating their own internal watch. Therefore, a few hours before you wake up, your body is already preparing for the physical exercises, because it known this thing is going to happen. How is this benefic to you?

  • Firstly, it will be much easier to wake up. By imposing a rhythm, your body won't feel bruised anymore when hearing the alarm clock and will act accordingly.
  • Slowly, the metabolism will get more and more stimulated, even while you sleep. This way you will be able to wake up full of energy and egger to go out in the park.
  • The hormonal activity is also stimulated; fact witch will prepare the body for an effort.

6. You might find it a bit difficult in the beginning to go out in the morning but if you persevere you will turn this habit into a real pleasure. While you run or walk, you can either be thinking about the things you have to do during that day or try to empty your mind and relax.

7. A series of researches show the fact that the physical exercise substantially improves the focusing capacity. Wouldn't it be a shame to sleep for one extra half hour?

8. Practically speaking, morning exercises represent the only way you can make sure you have done your daily sport "portion". Who knows what might intervene at the office and ruin your later gym plans?

9. If it's necessary, go to sleep earlier so you can make sure you wake up in time and don't have to cancel the few tenths of minutes of walking in the park. In fact it's proven that persons who exercise in the morning experience a better sleep quality.
